American Legion Auxiliary invites Women Veterans/Active Military Women to annual luncheon
The American Legion Auxiliary District #11 hosted by Fred Hancock Unit #19 in Renton invites all Women Veterans and Active Military Women to a luncheon in their honor Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11 am.
The luncheon begins with a reception and social at 11 am followed by a salad luncheon at 12 noon and will conclude with a dessert social following the program. Guests of honor include Women
Veterans and Active Military Women from all branches of service, Department of WA American Legion and District #11 officials and special guest speaker, Jeanne Hopkins, MA CTRS for the VA Puget Sound
Veterans Creative Arts Festival.
Cadets from the Renton and Seattle Civil Air Patrol (CAP) Squadrons will be facilitating the luncheon as staff and servers.
All Women Veterans and Active Military Women from all branches of service are cordially invited to RSVP with their name, branch of service and contact information to the Renton American Legion Fred Hancock Post/Unit #19, http://www.post19.org by Monday, April 17.
The American Legion Auxiliary Fred Hancock Post/Unit #19 is honored to host and celebrate Women Veterans and Active Military Women who have “answered the call” and stand proud in their commitment to the United States of America.
For more than 75 years the Renton American Legion Auxiliary has been an advocate and support for veterans, active military and their families. Our mission purposes include:
Supporting the initiatives and programs of the American Legion
Fostering patriotism and responsible citizenship
Awarding scholarships and promoting quality education and literacy
Providing educational and leadership opportunities that uphold the ideals of freedom and democracy and encouraging good citizenship and patriotism in government.
The Fred Hancock Post & Unit #19 meets at 7:30 pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except July and August) at 3224 NE 12th Street, Renton, WA 98056 (near the intersection of Sunset Blvd and NE 12 Street) in the Renton Highlands.
